With some of the more popular destinations for Urban Explorers, you’ll often find that a particular location has been photographed by many different people from many different angles. Microsoft’s Live Labs are working on a bit of technology that takes a large collection of photos of a place and, by analyzing them for similarities, is able to map them to a reconstructed 3D space.
There’s a cool demo here, though it does require you install a new plug-in for your browser to view it.

With winter almost upon us, why not build your own ice rink and then power slide around on this little beauty. I’ve always been amused by the fact that Zamboni’s a traditionally shod in Wolfrace style alloys too :-).

So I can’t take any credit for this, but seeing as it currently resides in the Recycle Bin on 28DL it’s unlikely to last much longer, and so I wanted to save the story and links to the super pictures.
Derelict-UK reported …
Drove past this just after midnight, went home and grabbed my camera, Its a worn out sofa with lovely embroidery dumped next to a bus stop (the lamp post).
The road is lit by only 2 street lights and runs for 80 meters or so and backs onto a council estate, near a red light district, not the best places to be hanging around at night with my camera kit but I couldn’t miss the photo opportunity!!

Perfect lighting!

Just down the road from us is a close of big houses who for the last 5 years or so have gone over the top with mad Xmas decorations, in order to raise thousands of pounds for a local charity. One house in particular always made a devout Atheist like me chuckle. They’d lovingly created, from red berry lights, two special decorations to recognize their feelings about Xmas. One was a large cross, and the other one stated “Happy Birthday Jesus”. Sadly they’ve now moved from the close, and so we have to make do with comedy Santas and animated reindeer.
For those who want a more portable bit of light up religious bling try this.

A great list of awesome lifts starting with an absolute monster strapped to a Chinese cliff face!

I still remember going to see Star Wars for the very first time. X-Wings were cool … but Princess Leia’s boobs in her white dress were cooler ;-).
